Any clue? I am not into it, but a coworker visiting the area really would like to visit a couple of clubs.
I would prefer to know about places where a non-dancer (me :-) ) would feel OK too but everything will work.

Re: Clubbing (South OC or SD)
Mon, February 13, 2006 - 10:40 PMThere are a couple of areas in OC that have strips of bars that may be a good place to look. For instance, you could always go for the Irvine Spectrum (Dave and Busters can be fun, or theres drinking and dancing at the Yard House) Also, Huntigton Beach has a good selection (I dont remember the name of the street, but if you look up the Inka Grill in HB, you can get the location) Or even San Clamente has an area with some bars, pool, and dancing. Hope these give you some ideas

Re: Clubbing (South OC or SD)
Mon, February 13, 2006 - 11:20 PMFocus in Newport Beach has house and deep house on Tuesday nights. They often book a nationally or internationally known DJ and the cover is usually only $10. There isn't really much of a see-and-be-seen vibe, since people really are there mostly to hear good music, and you don't have to dance to have fun.

Re: Clubbing (South OC or SD)
Tue, February 14, 2006 - 8:38 AMYou might try Kitsch Bar (kitschbar.com/) in Costa Mesa, not really a club but great for pre club drinks, or Detroit Bar (www.detroitbar.com/) also in Costa Mesa. If you just want the traditional OC Club scene with go go dancers, etc., try Club M above Mosun in Laguna Beach (www.mosunclubm.com/). It's not quite your typical LA club, but the last time I went there the women outnumbered the guys by about 2-1. Hope this helps, and have fun!
